So why, exactly, do they call it "Mary Sue," instead of, say "Lazarus Long?"

(I'll probably repost this on Monday, to catch the folks who ignore LJ on the weekends because they have lives.)

Fox is starting a "grass-roots" campaign in support of Arrested Development, which, as you know, is one of the best shows currently on television right now (if you don't know this, you've obviously never seen it).

The site is over here, and if you're concerned about spam, you can sign the pledge without leaving your email address or signing up for the fan club.

(Quick warning -- the site does have some embedded video, so if you're at work, turn your speakers down)

This one's on Lion's Gate stuff, instead of the usual Fox stuff, which means fewer sets to choose from, but they're all at $17.89, which is pretty damned good:

Boomtown, Season 1

The Dead Zone, Season 1

Will and Grace, Season 1

Alf, Season 1

Saved by the Bell, Seasons 1 and 2

The Providence Collection (twelve episodes, not from any one season or run).

Of those, I'm considering The Dead Zone, which I've heard great things about, and Boomtown. Will and Grace was good during its first season, too, although I'm not sure how much I need to own those episodes. I can definitely do without the others, though,

Ganked from pharminatrix: This to That, the site that tells you how to glue one thing to another.

Because you just never know when you'll need this info.

The Miami Heat have released a comic book, and in the first issue, they find that "the villain Farkas has created evil opposites of the HEAT players."

Damned mirror universes.
