Just as you didn't know that the Observer
is the Guardian
on Sundays, you may not be familiar with Julie Burchill neither. The Guardian
bought the Observer
in 1993. But the Observer
itself has been published since 1791. (The Observer
has separate editors from the Guardian
Burchill is famous for being very loud and very contentious. She's been sued a few times. She's very controversial, but she at least isn't nearly as bad as Jan Moir. I've never been a fan of Burchill's. I far prefer Barbara Ellen's pieces.
