The important stuff Elayna and I talk about on the way to the bus stop
Elayna: I can't believe I have to wait until Christmas for new Doctor Who!
Me: You realize that's just a one-shot, right?
Elayna: What?!?
Me: And there'll be three more movies in 2009, but no new series until 2010.
Elayna: No way! But David Tennant might leave by then!
Me: Well, we know he's signed for all the 2009 movies, at least.
Elayna: I'm not ready for another Doctor. Tennant was my first.
Also, she remains offended that Astrid Peth is considered a companion, but Jabe from "The End of the World" is not.
Incidentally, we also discussed this video, which
shadesong showed us last night. It represents the perfect intersection of Elayna's two major fandoms -- Wicked and Doctor Who.
(Although I should note that Elayna is starting to rack up fandoms -- she's already excited about coming home on Sunday to watch episodes of Eureka and Middleman on the Tivo, and I've gotten her hooked on Girl Genius. And that doesn't even take into account the insane amount of anime/manga she consumes.)
ETA: And yes, she's seen Eccleston, but she started with "Voyage of the Damned."
